BELFAST PUBS

THE DUKE OF YORK

The iconic Duke of York is a must visit in Belfast.  Quirky decor and an alleyway with hanging umbrellas make this an Instagram worthy stop.

BELFAST CITY CENTRE

MURIELS CAFE & BAR

Super cool Gin bar with a super cool name! ;-) One of the Bride & Groom's favourite places to go in Belfast!  Vintage decor, cocktails and charcuterie boards - the dream!

Also Pablos Burgers is next door which is perfect for late night munchies, or any time of the day as it is delish.

BELFAST CITY CENTRE

BANANA BLOCK

Described as a living museum this is a venue that covers it all.  Key features of the experience include a tropical banana greenhouse, a sustainable café and artisan producers including mushroom growers, cheese makers and record collectors.

But the main draw is the Boundary Beer Tap Room, it's not open every night so check their Facebook page for details. If you are beer person then this is must visit.  Boundary is a co-operative craft brewery, run and owned by its members.

EAST BELFAST

THE SPANIARD

The tiniest pub with the largest collection of Rum!  Imagine Salvador Dali crossed with Davy Jones.

BELFAST CITY CENTRE

McHUGHS

Arguably one of the most "Irish" pubs in Belfast, it dates back to 1711.  Featuring a pub & a restaurant you can enjoy a cosy pint with live music or feast on Irish grub with a twist.

BELFAST CITY CENTRE

CATHEDRAL QUARTER

If you are looking for the best area to go either for dinner and few drinks or a full night out then this is the place to be!

Lots of quirky and cool pubs and bars as well as great selection of take away and sit in places to choose from.

During the day this is where you find the best coffee in town and some unique little shops.

BELFAST CITY CENTRE

THIRSTY GOAT

One of the Groom's favourites, due to the large taxidermy Goat it features, it is a good night out! If you are looking for a lively late one with music then head here.

BELFAST CITY CENTRE

BERT'S JAZZ BAR

1930's style New York Jazz bar with delicious cocktails and Jazz.

Enough said....

BELFAST CITY CENTRE

THE CROWN

The original Victorian pub that is in all the lists of things to do!  Very unique and historical so 100% worth having at least one pint there.

BELFAST CITY CENTRE

THE BOWERY

A 2 minute walk from the BK's this is buzzy bar with a terrace, food and sports etc.  Highly likely to find the bride here.

SOUTH BELFAST

Co DOWN PUBS

THE CUAN

Recently refurbed bar & restaurant with rooms.  Has an epic little Wood Fired Pizza take away attached which you can eat in the pub.

STRANGFORD

THE LOBSTER POT

Traditional pub with yummy seafood!  Need to order ahead if you do want Lobster but there'll be plenty to choose from if you don't, straight out of the lough in front of the pub!

STRANGFORD

PORTAFERRY HOTEL

Catch the ferry across to Portaferry and visit the hotel which was originally owned and run by the Bride's Great Great Great Grandparents, the McGraths.

PORTAFERRY

FIDDLERS GREEN

A traditional Irish pub with live music, an excellent pint of Guinness and one of the best Ulster Fry's around.   What's not to love?

PORTAFERRY

DINING

MOURNE SEAFOOD BAR

We cannot overstate enough how amazing this place is!  There is one in Belfast and one in Dundrum, Co Down.  Both require pre-booking and feature some of the best seafood you will ever eat, caught from the sea around the Mourne Mountains.

BELFAST & DUNDRUM

MOLLYS YARD

A former coach house and stables play host to this quirky little eatery and pleasant courtyard, owned by the locally based Hilden Brewing Company; be sure to choose one of their paired ales to match your dish.

SOUTH BELFAST

THE CRAFTY VITNER

This is actually the off licence attached to The Bowery, but has an extensive terrace area that serves yummy breakfast, brunch and pastries.  You can also buy a bottle in the off licence and drink it on the terrace.

SOUTH BELFAST

GENERAL MERCHANTS CAFE

Belfast meets Australia in brunch terms.

Epic menu, epic coffee and epic décor.

One of our faves.  There is one in South Belfast, one in East Belfast and one at Forrestside Shopping Centre.

BELFAST - 3 LOCATIONS

PABLOS BURGERS & BOOZE

A tiny little burger joint for takeaway with a couple of seats outside.  They sell burgers, beer & tequila.  A million varieties of dirty fries, pickles and even Churros!   I know, what a combination!

BELFAST CITY CENTRE

OX

Awarded a Michelin Star in 2021 this is local, seasonal cuisine.

At £65 for the tasting menu it's not a casual lunch stop but if you are looking for beautiful food in a beautiful restaurant then this is for you!

BELFAST CITY CENTRE

THE SPHINX

This is the most famous kebab place in Belfast.  Apparently the "Sphinx" kebab sauce is the best there is.

If kebabs are your thing you have try this place!

SOUTH BELFAST

BOOJUM

If you are into Burritos then we suggest you visit Boojum!  Have yet to walk past one without a queue half way down the road which says everything.  It's an Irish Burrito chain that is pretty much as popular as Guinness.

BELFAST - 3 LOCATIONS

GREENS PIZZA

This is up there with any great pizzeria.

Unique toppings, fresh dough and the actual best cheesy garlic bread in the world!

Their home made salad dressing is also pretty famous in Belfast.
